Working with groups in the classroom
Even if the classroom has assigned class groups (from Sigma or TCS), you can create other groups with the people in the classroom. These are usually called “local groups” or “Moodle groups” and can be useful for working on activities in groups different from the class groups, or for restricting access to certain content to one or more groups, among other things.
