The Code Runner is a plug-in that would allow you to create programming questions in your Moodle classrooms. These questions could run program code submitted by students in response to a wide range of programming questions in different programming languages.
Given the technical requirements, this plug-in will be offered, for now, as a pilot within the Virtual Campus. As such, it will be installed in https://e-aulesi.uab.cat/2022 -23, an environment with the same functionality (except for Kaltura, not available) and the same appearance as the https://e-aules.uab.cat/2022-23 .
What does it imply?
The classrooms that will be able to use the Code Runner will be created in this pilot environment.
Un cop emplenada la petició de creació de l’aula que trobareu al portal de peticions del CAS (and accessing Aula Moodle amb Code Runner),
the Virtual Campus team will proceed to create it and assign teaching groups.
Once the classroom has been created, it will appear on the CV board, like any other classroom.
If this is the case, from the same board you would be able to manage other registrations and cancellations of users, both teachers and students (from the Moodle classroom management).
Regarding the transfer of content, you can import it following the steps described in How to transfer material from a Moodle classroom of the 2020-21 academic year to another Moodle classroom of the 22-23 academic year. NOTE: in the event of an incident in the transfer, you can contact CAS.
REMEMBER. As happens with the activation of any Moodle classroom, you can transfer the material and content, but not the information of the participants (activity records, grades…).
If you need more information about the functionalities of the tool, you can consult the link https://coderunner.org.nz / , where you will also find multiple examples.
In case of a technical incident, please consult the CAS.
