How to transfer quizzes from one Moodle classroom to another (from different academic years)

NOTES

  1. It must be taken into account that, in addition to the selected quiz or quizzes, the complete question bank in the classroom of origin will be transferred.
  2. It explains how to transfer quizzes from a classroom of the course 2021-22 and/or 2022-23 to a classroom of the course 2023-24.

 

STEP 1. BACKUP COPY OF THE QUESTIONNAIRES AND THE CLASSROOM BANK

The steps to follow are the same as those used to transfer content from one classroom to another (from different academic years). However, in this case, only the questionnaires and the classroom bank will have to be selected when making the backup. In the classroom of origin, and once the option to make a backup copy has been selected (following the steps in the previous entry),

  • Check the boxes
    • Include activities and resources e
    • Include question bank.

  • Click Next to see the list of activities and resources.
  • At the top of this screen, under Select, click the None link to uncheck all options.
  • Select the questionnaires you want to import. It is very important that the rest of the elements are unchecked to avoid problems in the destination classroom.
  • Click on the Next button, located at the bottom of the page.
  • Check that only the correct items are checked. If this is not the case, you can return to the previous screen by clicking on the Previous button, located at the bottom of the page.

  • If everything is correct, click on the Perform backup button, located at the bottom of the page. The duration of the import process varies depending on the volume selected.

STEP 2. RESTORING THE BACKUP IN THE CLASSROOM OF THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

Once you have made and downloaded the backup copy of the questionnaires you want to transfer to your computer, you only need to restore it to the new classroom. The steps to follow are the same as restoring a backup copy of the entire classroom.
