Teams tool clarification for online tutoring or classes

STEP 1: The teacher access the Teams tool and create the meeting.

You can upload the video to the Teams space:

 

STEP 2: The teacher provides this link to their students, either by e-mail or publishing in the Virtual Campus Moodle classroom.

 

REMARK: although it has worked well until now, Microsoft has discouraged sharing links through One Drive, in the way it was indicated until now in the documentation found in Campus Virtual.

Is this why we are implementing a solution that allows you an alternative way of sharing videos. We are working in a pilot with a reduced group of teachers in different Faculties and once this implementation is validated we will share it with all the teachers.

[Temporary] In the meantime, if you need to share new videos with your students and you have a Gmail account you can temporary (and not as final solution) use it to share them in YouTube.

 

STEP 3: The students access the video directly using the link and using the following possible browsers:

  • Windows (Windows 10): Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge (no Internet Explorer).
  • Apple (iMac , MacBook,…): Google Chrome or Safari en modo emulador Chrome.
  • Apple (iPad): Google Chrome.
  • Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, …): Google Chrome (no Chromium).
