The Virtual Campus offers you the possibility of requesting feedback from the participants in the classroom on a specific topic, conducting a teacher evaluation survey, detecting possible incidents in the classroom, among others. You can also create different question paths based on the student’s response to a specific question.
You can decide if the responses are anonymous and in no case is it an assessable activity.
The activity you will use is Feedback. Here we will explain the simplest case: a survey where all the students visualize the same questions.
ACTIVITY CREATION
The first thing you’ll need to do is create the activity:
- Click where you want to create the activity (How to add an activity or resource).
- Choose the Feedback activity.
- Fill in the different fields of the activity to create it, starting with the name and, if applicable, a description of the activity.
AVAILABILITY
If you need to set a timeframe within which students can answer your questions, you can do so in the Availability section.
Check the Enable box and select the date or dates that suit you.
CONFIGURATION OF SUBMISSION TYPE (ANONYMOUS OR WITH STUDENT NAME RECORDING)
In the Question and submission settings section, you can set:
- Whether the name of the submitting student will be recorded or whether submissions will be anonymous (Record user names).
- Whether the student can make a single submission or more than one submission (Allow multiple submissions).
- Whether you want to receive a notification (including email) each time someone submits the activity (Enable notification of submissions).
- Whether questions will be numbered automatically.
WHAT THE STUDENT VIEWS AFTER SUBMISSION
If you set it, once the student submits their answers, they will be able to see a text (Completion message) and a page with an analysis of the results (Show analysis page).
Once the activity has been configured, you must click the Save and return to course or Save and display button to complete its creation.
CREATING QUESTIONS
Once you’ve created an activity, you can click on it to add any questions you need.
To add questions (or edit them once you’ve entered them), click the Edit questions button or the Questions tab.
Click the Add question button to display the question types and elements you can add. In addition to questions, you can add a page break, an informative text, or a Captcha.
Choose the type of question you want to add, fill in the fields, and click Save changes to save the question.
NOTE: If needed, you can make the question mandatory. To do so, select the Required box.
