A grading element is an item that can be evaluated numerically or by scale, defined by the teaching staff and that can be:
- direct result of a Moodle classroom activity (eg quiz, homework)…
- indirect result, of an activity carried out outside the Moodle classroom (for example, attendance at a seminar, participation in a workshop…)
Each grade item has its own column in the gradebook.
By default, every time you create evaluable content in the classroom, the respective grade item is created in the gradebook automatically. However, it is possible that, in a specific case, you may be interested in reflecting the results of activities or tests carried out outside the classroom. You will be interested in creating grade items manually.
