Turnitin Integrity, the tool based on the software Turnitin, offers a service for detecting, evaluating, and preventing plagiarism in source content.

Access to Turnitin Integrity is integrated into the UAB Virtual Campus, specifically through the assignments activity. The system provides similarity detection in multiple languages, and the file formats that can be analyzed are: .doc, .docx, .sxw, .pdf, .txt, .rtf, .html, .htm, .wps, .odt.

The final decision on whether a work is considered plagiarized or not rests with the teaching team, who can use the analysis performed by this tool as an aid.

 

Turnitin Activation in the Assignment

Create and configure the assignment. Once configured, go to the Turnitin Integrity plugin settings section and select the Enable Turnitin option.

 

Select or uncheck the different options, as needed, and click the Save and return to course button (or Save and display, if you wish to continue editing the parameters) to apply the settings.
